The Municipal Wellness Program supports Nova Scotia Municipalities to create healthy workplace environments and promote positive health and well-being for all municipal employees and elected officials. The Municipal Wellness Program offers workshops and activities, challenges, fitness membership discounts, and many other programs and resources to allow municipal employees and elected officials of Nova Scotia Municipalities to get involved in creating healthier workplace cultures.

The Municipal Website Venture plays a key role in improving the quality of local government websites in Nova Scotia.
In 2007 a provincial government proof of concept was converted into a going concern that has since transformed the face of local government websites. This unique program is self-funded and continues to make a real contribution to communities and organizations throughout the province.
16 years and over 90 websites later the program has evolved to meet the demands and is on track to fulfill its mandate.

The Municipal Accessibility Support Program aids Nova Scotia's municipalities and villages to develop and implement accessibility improvement projects in accordance with the Accessibility Act. The program offers workshops, networking opportunities, and resources to support municipalities and villages make accessibility improvements.
The AMANS Municipal Accessibility Support Program is funded by the Government of Nova Scotia’s Accessibility Directorate.

AMANS is a trusted resource and stakeholder that actively contributes to the improvement of public policy in Nova Scotia.
AMANS supports the operations of Nova Scotia municipalities through the development of model by-laws, policies, and best practices and through the provision of objective policy advice in support of evidence-based decision-making.
AMANS provides policy support and expert advice to the Nova Scotia Federation of Municipalities (NSFM) and maintains an active and professional partnership with the Province of Nova Scotia on a number of ongoing projects. Examples of current projects include the Municipal Government Act Review; the Provincial-Municipal Joint Accountability and Transparency Committee; and the Provincial-Municipal Partnership Agreement.

AMANS recognizes the value of education, training and development and the importance of having municipal government staff and elected officials who have the capacity to meet today's challenges.
