  • Risks and liabilities for municipalities
  • Policies and bylaws supporting effective records management
  • Managing electronic records in an increasingly digital environment

  • Tax collection and tax sale procedures
  • Communicating financial information to Council
  • Negotiation strategies and BATNA

Participants who successfully complete both modules are eligible to receive advanced standing in Dalhousie University’s Certificate in Local Government Finance. Together, the two AMANS modules are recognized as equivalent to OLCD-LGOV0037 Municipal Finance, one of the certificate’s three required courses.
