New! 2013-2016 Strategic Plan

The Strategic Plan describes AMANS's mission, vision, strategic direction and three year goals and objectives. Implementation will be achieved through a rolling two year implementation plan, to be reviewed and updated annually. Outcomes and achievements, as measured against the Strategic Plan goals, will be reported to the Board quarterly and the membership annually. It consists of four broad goals:

1) Grow and diversify AMANS membership to include current and future municipal administrators and managers from all functional areas in municipal government

2) Provide strategic leadership on key municipal policy issues impacting members

3) Ensure provision of superior educational programming that supports strong local government

4) Secure sufficient human and financial resources to deliver AMANS vision and mission
